PHOENIX VINEYARDS 1995 NAPA VALLEY CABERNET SAUVIGNON STRIKES GOLD AGAIN!
Phoenix Vineyards 1995 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon has captured 2 gold medals in as many months.
The California State Fair Commercial Wine Competition-one of the oldest and most prestigious wine judging expositions in California-awarded Phoenix Vineyards' 1995 Cabernet Sauvignon a Gold Medal and a rating of 94 Points on the 100 point scale. At the California Grape & Gourmet Awards gala tasting on July 28th it was further revealed that the 95 Cabernet was given the special distinction of Best Of Class Of Region (Best 1995 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon).
In May, Phoenix Vineyards' 1995 Cabernet earned a Gold Medal at The 1998 Riverside International Wine Competition. This was the first commercial wine competition they had ever entered. The competition, held on May 2nd and 3rd in Riverside, California, evaluated some 1700 wines entered over the two day event. Among all of these hopefuls Phoenix Vineyards was awarded a Gold Medal in the Cabernet Sauvignon class. The winery received word of the award by way of a congratulatory letter from Mr. Dan Berger, noted wine writer and Chairman of the annual event.
